Poem: Heart & Soul

Writer's picture: Amber AmbroseAmber Ambrose

A white rain lily blooming in the midst of brown, dying grass

Our hearts can’t help

But choose to mourn

As love fills

Empty spaces

Our souls can’t help

But to rejoice

As joy for grief

Replaces

Small and fleeting

Broken, bleeding

The flesh puts

In its paces

The temple crumbles

Out grief tumbles

Love once more

So graces
