Deck: The Light Seer's Tarot by Chris Anne

Pull: Ace of Swords, 5 of Swords

Interpretation: In A Course in Miracles, Lesson 23 tells us "I can escape from the world I see by giving up attack thoughts." In today's message from the Ace of Swords, we can experience one of those magical EUREKA! moments when we're able to let go of these "attack" thoughts featured in 5 of Swords.

Thoughts are always in flux. They're affected by the media we consume, the people with whom we're surrounded, the work we do, our mood, our physical condition and more. What's interesting about thoughts—which form the basis of all our personal beliefs—is that in that same beautiful brain in which they arise, we also have the power of becoming the observer to these thoughts in order to uncover their validity.

Is this thought an attack thought? Why do I think I am the victim in this situation? How can I release these thoughts that are based in fear to allow myself to escape this world of fear?

If we take a moment today to step outside of our attack thoughts, explore them with curiosity and consciously decide to let them go, we can lighten our own load in a radical act of self-love.

Journal prompts: Where do I feel attacked by the world? Write down three thoughts that might be giving away your power to someone or something else outside of you. Try to reframe these in a way that puts YOU in control.

Affirmations: I cultivate empowering thoughts where I am in control. I choose to follow empowering thoughts. I gently release attack thoughts to open myself to the world of love.
