Poem 29: No Mothers, No Birthdays

There would be

No birthdays

Or birthday parties

Or people, really

If there were no mothers

But there are mothers

And there are people

(Because of mothers)

And sometimes birthdays

To celebrate

Thanks to all forms

And faces of motherhood
