Interpretation: There's no looking back. The end of one cycle is here, according to the Death card, allowing us to move into either the waxing (expansion) or waning (contracting) phase from The Moon.
What is waxing: Order, organization, routine, discipline, schedules, self-control.
What is waning: Tiki drinks, road trips, unencumbered freedom, overindulgence.
Today is the first day of school here in Houston and the first day of Virgo season. Death + The Moon + Night could literally mean we're putting the carefree, sunny Leo energy of late summer to bed and taking a proverbial nap in order to rest up for a time of routine and discipline.
Bonus card (because I wanted to get one more to support all the shadow cards): This message is clear. For some, this might be the death of a cycle you're ready to release, something once buried in the subconscious that was causing you pain is now surfacing for a reason.
Though it could feel like a dark night, this is an opportunity to find freedom from ideas and beliefs about yourself that are holding you back.
Know this death is here to help you move into your full potential. Know that you are strong and supported. Know you have resources. Know this too, shall pass.
